The Lismore Marist Brothers Rams have secured the club’s first premiership since their 2003 Group 1 triumph after a 20-12 win over the Murwillumbah Mustangs in the Grand Final at Crozier Field on Sunday.

Three tries to Mitchell Krause, Noah King and Will Woolley were enough to outscore the Mustangs, securing Grand Final victory for the Lismore club on its home ground.

The win is the club’s first title in the Northern Rivers Regional Rugby League competition since Group 1 and 18 amalgamated to form the competition in 2005.

The Bilambil Jets took out the Reserve Grade decider with a narrow 14-12 win over the Byron Bay Red Devils.

The Jets scored three tries to two in the close-fought clash to seal the title after the club lost the two other Grand Finals it contested on the day.

Wins in other grades went to Northern United in the Women’s Tackle 44-6 over Bilambil, Mullumbimby in the Under 18s 18-6 also over Bilambil, and Tweed Heads 12-10 over Lismore Marist Brothers in the League Tag.
