Reigning premiers Blackheath Blackcats are Midwest Community Cup ladder leaders following the round 2 games, sharing top spot with Rockley Bulls.

Four clubs sit below them on two competition points with a win and a loss apiece while Woodstock and Kandos are still winless.

Both of Blackheath’s games have been close affairs, being pushed in their round 2 match by Wallerawang, hanging on for a 20-16 win.

Portland were winners 46-0 over Kandos in the other eastern division game.

In the Western Division games played at Woodstock, the Rockley side, with their 32-10 defeat of CSU, maintained their shared ladder-leading position with Blackheath.

The other round 2 game resulted in Carcoar beating hosts Woodstock 54-34.

Leaguetag: Blackheath showed they will again be the team to beat with their 40-0 defeat of Wallerawang, and share a three-way lead at the top. Rockley and Carcoar are the two other undefeated teams.

Portland Fillies were winners over the Kandos girls 18-12, Rockley beat CSU 10-6, and Carcoar were winners 22-6 in their game against Woodstock.

No games will be played on the long weekend, and competition will resume on Saturday, October 11.

At CSU’s Diggings ground the home side will host Woodstock, preceded by the Carcoar and Rockley game at 1pm.

On the same day at Wallerawang the Warriors are at home to neighbours Portland, with Blackheath versus Kandos the early game at 1pm.

Leaguetag games will commence the day’s events at both grounds.
